The Dress

Sad to see this beautiful dress go but would love for a bride to feel as special as I did on my big day.
I think this dress embodies a timeless, elegant look whilst still being modern.
Mariana Hardwick describes this dress as "Strapless ballgown with finely draped bodice, scooped neckline, and layered petal skirt with split. made from Haven Satin Twill".
The dress was extremely comfortable on the day, although it had some weight to it (not unbearable) the split up the leg made it extremely easy to maneuver. I changed into a pair of converse for the dance floor and although loosing a few cms in height I was never tripping over the dress.
I am a size 10 but had lost some weight primarily around my bust and waist therefore had to get the bodice taken in. I have the original hook and eye's provided and had added a few to make it tighter. Given the dress is forgiving below the waist I would say it could fit both an 8-10 AU.
My tailor did an amazing Job and was able to adjust the bust as I didn't like how the original dress sat off the chest, I wanted less room between the dress and the chest. I also wore chicken fillets on the day to fill out the cups.
I had it professionally dry cleaned and packages post the wedding ($550 AU).
