The Dress

This dress was custom designed by Sarah Ellen Couture in 2021. Unfortunately, the wedding was cancelled and so the gown is brand new, stored in a protective bridal box and has never been worn.

The lace is a 3D hand stitched embroidery brocade that is an iridescent pearl ivory. The lace catches the light and shimmers. It was sourced from Yogyakarta and retailed at $9,000AUD for the 9 metres purchased for this gown creation.

Gown description
Silhouette - fit & flare; V-neck; V-back; Straps (stretch tulle); Floor length with split and train;

Gown with all-over hand placed embroidered-lace and tulle overlay, over a polyester satin full length base with exceptional boning structure through the torso.
Deep V-neckline with scalloped edge of lace, leads up over the shoulders in stretch-tulle straps. Centre back V-neckline with zip and pearl button closure is finished with a long train with scalloped lace edging.

Colours - silver/ivory lace embroidery & tulle over a coffee-coloured satin, giving a deep magnolia looking colour base through the lace overlay.

Bust - 97cm
Waist - 75cm
Hip - 110cm

Model’s body measurements in images -

Shoulder to floor - 155cm with shoes
Bride height (no shoes) - 170cm

The dress was custom made to the first set of measurements. The dress would best suit a standard size 10 - or a bridal size 12. The model wearing the gown is a size 8-10. There is capacity for the bride to be a little bigger than the original set of measurements, as the dress is pretty robust and had some sitting room through the hipline.

There is an additional 1 metre of spare lace that could be used to make changes, alterations or additions to the gown.
