The Dress

Bought as a store sample (for £725), and was altered and dry cleaned before I wore it. It has been well worn and extremely well loved. It has NOT been dry cleaned since my wedding.

I bought several styling options to wear for the first part of my day and on the morning-of changed my mind, as I felt incredible in this dress with just my sash and veil. See profile pic. This was my DREAM dress to wear.

I wore it all day so it has the following marks and imperfections:

- dust and dirt on the train (but I am 6ft2 so you may well have this trimmed off). I have deliberately not steamed this area in the photos to avoid baking the marks in further.
- a small and faint purple/red patch on the skirt, I can send a photo separately
- a tiny burn-hole from a sparkler spark (woops)… near bottom of train at back but again you’d be likely to trim it off
- some fluffing(?) in areas where i was ceilidh dancing with people and it rubbed against other clothes etc
- broken bustle thread on inside, not visible from outside
- some marks on bodice as pictured
- some pin holes at bottom of V on front and back
- loose thread on inside of bodice where I had foam cups added (cups have been removed but thread remains, not visible from outside)

Alterations

A few cm off length (floor length on me - I’m 6ft2 so still v long)

A few mm taken in under arms.

Bustle added to inside. Button remains but the thread loop broke while dancing.

Stitching added along V on back to ensure the lining laid flat and to tighten the bodice structure. This really made it easier to wear as I found it a bit loose before this was done. The stitching is visible up close but not visible in any of my photos from the day.
