The Dress
I wanted a dress that looked glamorous but that I could dance in all night. This dress is extremely comfortable and it made me feel free to move about easily on my wedding day while still feeling beautiful. The full train looked gorgeous in photos and when coming down the aisle. Then, once bustled, movement around the wedding venue was easy.
My favourite parts of the dress were the back, the gorgeous detailing in the appliquès and belt and the hem. The beading details add a lovely but subtle sparkle to the dress as it moves. The final photo shows the dress in its current condition after dry cleaning. There are some marks on the hem of the inner linings but these cannot be seen when the dress is worn.
Alterations
1. Addition of a bustle
2. Shortening of the inner lining by a couple of cm's to avoid tripping when walking. The overall length of the dress was not affected by this.
3. Addition of applique to the original deep V neckline.
