The Dress

This beautiful Rosa Clara "Denice" dress is in impeccable condition. I bought the dress from Designer Loft in NYC, right before the pandemic. I was enticed by its classic design and very flattering A-line silhouette. You'll see hundreds of hand-sewn lace appliqués, which give the dress an understated yet glam look. One of my favorite parts of this gown is the detail at the hem; it is a real showstopper when you twirl around! This dress has the perfect balance of a sensual, classic bodice with a more forgiving skirt (yes, I was able to eat at my wedding!).

The gown was made to order in Spain by the designer, and Rosa Clara shipped it directly to me in 2020. We ended up having a very small pandemic wedding and then a larger party, which is why I have two hairstyles in the photos (all photos are of me in the dress I am selling).

I have an hourglass shaped body; typically size 2 (xs on top, s on bottom, 32A bra size) with relatively standard proportions.

After our afterparty, I got the dress professionally cleaned and pressed from an expert in Boston (where I am currently located). I would love to see this dress live on at another wedding. I am happy to provide video or additional images on request. Reasonable offers welcome!

Alterations

It was altered by Elsa Montero in DC (look her up, she is a famous seamstress who is very familiar with Rosa Clara designs). It is hemmed to barely brush the floor when standing. I'm 5'7" and with short heels (see 7th photo), I was about 5'8" in the dress. I have a small bust, so we added extra bust padding that a) gave me great cleavage and b) is easily removable, which would allow for someone bustier than me to easily fit!
We also added a simple French bustle per Elsa's recommendation, which looks great on the dance floor.
Finally, because the dress has strap sleeves and is not fitted around the hip, future alterations should be minor.
