The Dress

Exquisite! As you can see from the photos I had a wonderful time wearing this beautiful gown. Worn at a winter wedding for a few hours in one location, this dress (Siena) is a Sophia Tolli bestseller. It's simply beautiful - feminine, flowing, strapless, lacy and A-line, although the waistline is empire and flows down to an A-line skirt, which I found very flattering not to mention slimming. The dress is lightweight, and I could not have felt more elegant or bridal in it. The colour I went for is spun gold lace over ivory satin, I ordered extra satin ribbon to trim the veil, which I will include with the dress. The other item I will include is the bolero/shrug that was made for me, from extra matching spun-gold lace that I also ordered from Sophia Tolli. I wasn't sure how I would feel on the day about going strapless, so the bolero was a back-up!

Siena features slimming satin trim, accentuated with delicate Swarovski crystal broaches which sparkle beautifully and subtly. The functional corset back bodice and chapel length train complete the look. One of my favourite parts of the dress is where the lace on the train 'overflows' over the satin to edge it - so pretty and delicate. I got so many comments on the day on how unusual and striking the dress was. The only alteration I had was to shorten it slightly (professionally done). It says size 10 on the label but as it's a corset back, it would easily work for a size 12 (as you can see I had it laced up tightly) and could be altered to fit a size 8 easily.

It is in excellent condition having been professionally dry-cleaned and stored. No marks or faults at all. I hope the new owner gets as much pleasure from it as I did!
