The Dress

I bought this dress in 2021 and wore it for my wedding in September 2022. I love the classic lace look. I wanted something that was fitted, but I also loved the idea of having a dramatic train walking down the aisle for our church wedding. The detachable train was the perfect solution! I wore the train for the ceremony and then took it off for the reception-- so easy, and two looks in one! It was cleaned after the wedding.

Alterations

The hips were let out slightly. The bust was taken in, and the cups were switched out for size A. The dress was hemmed for someone 5'8". (I'm 5'7" and wore 1" heels.) The original belt was beaded, but I swapped it for a simpler satin belt. I still have the beaded belt, so you could easily have it sewn back on. A bustle was added to the dress; it's just one simple button and a loop.
