The Dress
Feel like a snow queen in this perfect winter-wedding gown!
Description from website: This gown is by bridal designer Sottero and Midgley by Maggie Sottero. The style is called "Phoenix". It is designed in satin. The color is alabaster/pewter. The original retail price of this gown was $2,099.00. An elegant princess wedding dress with unique touches, this Carlo Satin ballgown features a bodice of beaded embroidery and Swarovski crystals. Complete with strapless scoop neckline. Finished with crystal buttons trailing from zipper to hemline.
My description: I had this dress altered to be more of a sweetheart neckline, and was hemmed. I am 5'6". I also had the hooks added for a bustle. I am plus-sized, and the dress was comfortable and so perfect for a winter wedding! I had planned on wearing a fur bolero with it to cover some of my less-toned parts, but it was 70-something degrees on my December wedding day! The sparkles/beading are dreamy, AND IT HAS POCKETS! The buttons down the back are also sparkly. It was cleaned professionally after the wedding and has no known defects. It was a beautiful dress, and if I didn't have tiny closets, I'd probably keep it forever.
Buyer pays shipping; is listed at $30 below, but I will give a truer estimate when I have a zip code.
Alterations
Hemmed for length, neckline altered to be sweetheart. Also added the hooks for a bustle- see last photo.
