The Dress

This dress is absolutely stunning. It was my dream. Unfortunately due to COVID and my now husband being from the Netherlands, we had to postpone over 2 years. In that time, gained too much weight to wear it and had to get a different dress. Other than trying it on a few times (trying to see if it fit), it has sat in the garment bag.

As a plus size bride, I was nervous about the sheath style. However, when I first tried it on (and it fit), I felt AMAZING. It slid over my tummy perfectly and I felt so beautiful. The details are amazing. I love the 3D floral appliqués.

It's two-toned ivory and beige. The neckline is sweetheart, but has a little mesh illusion over it that gives a pseudo-staright appearance. Some boning and slightly sheer on top. It's gorgeous.

This dress does run small. At the time of purchase, I was a standard size 20 (at David's Bridal) and we ordered this in a 22. It fit perfectly. There have been no alterations.
