My sensational Michelle gown, by Galia Lahav. There are only very limited numbers of Michelle made in the world.

The style is a trumpet silhouette, with a sheer high neck feature made of an embroidered lace which is trickling down its voluminous skirt and up the shoulders. A sheer V feature at the back of the corset. The tulle is layers of ivory and blush silk tulle which creates a dreamy and cloud effect when walking down the aisle. It is a dream come true. ✨🤍

I wore this dress for around 4/5 hours on my wedding day, as I changed to an evening dress to retain the condition of the dress.

My measurements at the time of my wedding are as below:

26 inch waist, 34.5 inch hips, 34 inch bust (DD cup - but the cup size is actually for smaller breast around C cup, but it made my bust less OTT on my wedding day). I am 5”3.5 in height and my shoes were 3.9 inches.

I found my gown in August 2019, and after covid restrictions, finally got to wear my beautiful gown at my wedding in September 2021. I wasn’t sure if I could let her go, but her beauty is locked away in the galia lahav bag and I would love to make another bride as happy as I was on my wedding day and all of the fittings. Some people would ask - won’t you go off your gown with how long you have waited during covid - I never changed my mind at all about my dress, and fell in love with her over and over at every fitting. If I had a house big enough, I would keep her in a dressing room on display!

In terms of the condition - it is excellent. There are very very very slight marks on the inner layer of the tulle and a couple of tears in the tulle from my heels (please note that this is right underneath layers and layers of perfect tulle and cannot be seen with the eye and can easily be altered at alteration stage) and a slight mark from walking on the ground. I chose not to have this professionally cleaned, as it was a risk of ruining the dress and the details on the corset and the marks as do so minor that I was advised not to by the retailer. I can send a video or more pictures and you can see that this is no issue to another bride as alterations will be required anyway to make the perfect fit.

Alterations

I have a larger bust and as the neckline of Michelle was originally quite straight, I had some of the beautiful floral design sewn on around the side of the bust, which created a gorgeous frame around the bust. I also had the usual alterations taking the dress up to the length I needed with heels, and taken in to fit due to weight loss.
