The Dress

This exquisite wedding dress truly made me feel like the most elegant, stunning bride on my wedding day! I loved the intricate, whimsical touch of the floral embroidery, the cascading train, the appearance of the ivory hue in photos, and especially the fun pockets! The dress was very flattering for my 5'3" frame and shorter waist, and accomplished the ball gown look without being too "poofy." I wore this dress in PA for a June 1st wedding and it honestly was not too heavy with it being the beginning of summer (and I tend to overheat very easily). I had the dainty belt added on to accentuate the waistline a little more and to give it extra pizzazz. I wore a corset underneath primarily because the waist part of the dress is sheer. Other than the faintest of slight discoloration right at the armpits, the dress is truly in wonderful condition. To see the dress in action, skip to the end of the attached video - my husband and I did a fun choreographed dance and you can see it better! As far as the price goes, the retail price was $999.00 when I bought it, but I had $500 worth of alterations done. When it's all said and done, I'm actually asking for less than half of what I paid for the dress!

Alterations

The length was adjusted to accommodate my 5'3" height (I wore flats). I had the crinoline removed so that the dress wasn't quite as poofy. This also made it lighter for the summer. I had a bustle system put in so that the train could be pinned up for the reception (you can see a little of what this looks like in picture #7). Finally, I had the dainty belt sewn onto the dress.
