The Dress

Morilee Alessandra Wedding Dress style number 2193 Size 8 High St, Size 6 Label, Only Shortened, no other alterations.

RRP £1,850. Purchased from Coco Couture bridal studio in Cambridge in February 2022 for my July 2022 wedding. Ivory/Prosecco/honey colour-way. Comes with the original dress bag. There’s a Prosecco layer on the bodice and a honey tulle layer on the skirt. The rest is ivory. The honey tulle makes the embroidery stand out more.

It’s a Gorgeous princess dress - I loved wearing this so much! I won’t wear it again though and it deserves to be be loved again by another bride. Approximately 3m long train.

Label states size 6 but I’m an 8 and it fit perfectly. No alterations except professional shortening and bustle added. The bustle could be removed before sending if preferred. The bodice fit me perfectly straight from the manufacturer so no alterations were made. I’m 5’2.5” or 158cm and wore 3” heels. It was still a little long so I had to hold it up to climb stairs. It would fit a bride taller than me. Up to 5’7” or maybe taller depending on how you wear it. The embroidery wasn’t moved during the shortening and none was lost. The bustle has 3 points across the back so is very secure. This could easily be removed or replaced.

The bra cups were great - I had trouble with a lot of other dresses not being supportive. These were great though.

The sleeves have a small amount of stretch so they stay up well. There are sequins dotted throughout the skirt and bodice and it sparkles as you walk. There are videos on the Mori Lee site to see it in all its glory.

The dress has been cleaned and is in immaculate condition. It was a perfect dry day after a heat wave so the skirt and train didn’t get dirty. No marks or stains. More photos and videos available on request.

Alterations

Shortened. Would be suitable up to 5’7” with 1” heels, maybe more if the sleeves are worn off shoulder. I’m 5’2.5” with 3” heels on the day. However, the tulle is longer than the opaque layer by 6cm/2.5”. The length from the waist is 104cm to the bottom of the opaque layer and 110cm to the bottom of the tulle layers. I wore the dress with the straps on the shoulders as I have very narrow shoulders. The model wore them off shoulder which means the dress would hang lower and therefore be longer.
