The Dress

I purchased my stunning Abbott by Sottero & Midgley wedding gown from Astra Bridal Wellington and received it in early April 2022. We were married down in Queenstown NZ, later that month.

I’ve since had the gown dry cleaned (just amazing what they do!) and boxed in a bridal keepsake box ready for the next lovely bride.

I absolutely loved Abbott, wore her all night! I even managed to throw my 4yr old daughter in the air and do many running spins with her, her older brother and cousins on the dance floor at our reception. Hubby is not a dancer so I settled for a dance party with my babies instead.

Alterations

I had alterations made to the original size 10 as I was 5 months post my third bubba when we got married.

My bust and bra line were wider than my usual standard size 10 due to breastfeeding. The V back was made deeper for this reason and two thick breast pads were sewn into the cups. These pads have since been removed but I can include if you’re a breastfeeding mama interested in the dress.

It was taken in slightly around the two seams that run down the backside/bottom.

Three bustle clips were added to the inside of the gown.
