The Dress

This dress made me feel better than I could have imagined on my wedding day. I knew it was 'the one' the second it went on. I had an outfit change scheduled for the evening of my wedding but was loving it so much on the day I didn't bother with the second outfit.

This cut was especially flattering on me - it made my waist look tiny! That said, it's a classic style that will suit most body types. I'm in love with the clean lines and crisp duchess satin fabric - it really feels like luxury. Despite the satin, it's not heavy and it didn't make me feel too hot, like many I tried on. I was able to go to the toilet quickly and easily by myself! I felt like I didn't have to choose style over comfort for this dress. It was very easy to dance in as there is only a small train (I also switched to trainers for the eve which helped!)

I wore it for a Christmas wedding but would work for all seasons. For those that might like extra volume, you could easily add some tulle under the skirt.

Due to my big hips, I had to put the dress on over my head, but that wasn't an issue with bridesmaids on hand.

It has been professionally dry cleaned (costing over £200) so it's as good as new. The only very very slight issue is the ribbon on the corset slightly is frayed at the end, but can very easily be fixed.

Alterations

I had the original zip back replaced with a corset back for more comfort. The original back can be seen in the video and in the mirror on image two.
