About the Dress

It was love at first sight for me with this dress and I knew it was the one as soon as I tried on the sample, extremely flattering and exquisitely made, light as a feather to wear due to being made entirely of silk (except for the net underskirt), and a very dramatic long train. I wear a standard uk size 8, but this was made to measure for me to my exact measurements. I felt wonderful on my wedding day in this dress.

The dress was dry cleaned straight after the wedding while I was on honeymoon, and packed in acid free tissue in a large wedding dress box. I changed it into to a wedding dress cover zipped bag when I moved last year, but the silk is still very fresh and beautiful especially for a vintage dress. The last photo on a mannequin was taken yesterday.

The skirt part of the dress and train are in ivory silk dupion, and the bodice part is in a fine slipper satin in a pale gold/ coffee colour. There is a hidden zip at the back and large covered buttons with rouleau loops. The bodice and skirt front are lined in a fine habotai silk.

I am 5'3" tall and was wearing 3" heels.
