The Dress

A classic wedding dress with ivory lace and subtle beading from the renowned Australian designed Wendy Makin. Dress is size 8/10 and is from the dreamy French Collection. The French Collection by Wendy Makin is a fusion of vintage glamour & classic styling. Utilising exquisite French laces & beautiful flowing fabrics from around the world, this collection is perfect for the modern bride & her church wedding or rustic woodlands affair! The fabrics & construction make them perfect for taking out of your suitcase to wear for your wedding with the minimum of fuss. This classic ivory dress with oat lining is made from delicate lace and hand sewn bead detailing with a cinched waist (ribboned) and v-back. This dress is light to wear, even with it’s beautiful train of lace panels and tulle. The lace on the neckline on arms is very soft on the skin, so no red marks on your special day. This is not a sample dress/off the peg, took 6 months to be made/arrive in the UK. I’m 5ft 9in and with a two inch heel, this dress is the perfect length. Length from waist to end of gown at the front of the dress is 120cm. The cinched waist is fitted and I’m a 32C but there’s room in the bodice for 32D. No need to wear a bra either with this dress. I bought this from The Aisle, Ilkley, for my 2020 wedding but ended up not wearing it due to covid (finally got married in March 2022) - selling because my style has changed since I bought this dress and I wanted to wear something else. It’s been lying flat in a protective bag for the last two years and has only been worn for a fitting in 2019 (see photos) when it arrived from Australia, so no signs of wear and tear at all (except for broken concealed Zip which needs replacing - see further info in alterations field) I am based in Nottingham and I’m happy to travel within Nottinghamshire to drop off to a future bride. For anyone else, I am happy to arrange collection from my house or by courier. Dress will be safely folded and boxed for postage. Open to reasonable offers. Alterations

Concealed zip needs replacing as it’s come away from the seam and the zip teeth are wonky - happened during the fitting and then covid happened so didn’t get it fixed - main reason for selling. No damage to fabric it was attached just that the zip used by the designer wasn’t very good.
