The Dress

Beautiful gown by Savannah Miller.

I purchased this dress last winter, but we ended up not having a wedding ceremony because of the pandemic. It’s brand new, never worn. I had the dress taken in very modestly along the back to to be more fitted around the hips (I'm a US size 4/6).

I found the dress at an upscale wedding boutique in Minnesota (Annika Bridal). When it was ordered, we got the last size 6 available worldwide!

I am 5’8” without shoes on, so with 2 to 3 1/2 inch heels, this length is perfect. I also had a bustle loop added at my tailor, which is pictured above.

Again, this dress has been fitted, but never worn and is in absolutely perfect condition. Hopefully it will make someone very happy on their wedding day!

Alterations

I had the dress brought in a bit in the back to make it fit more closely to a size 4/6. I also had the neckline lowered just a hair so that it doesn't squeeze in on the neck and shows off the top of the collar bone.

Originally, there was a long piece of tulle that attached at the shoulders and went down to the floor, which I had removed (along with the buttons that it attached to on the shoulders).

I also had a bustle added, with just a small loop of string that can be pulled into the dress and disguised or pulled out to hook onto a small clear button that was added to the back.

Alterations were completed at Evermore Bridal in Minneapolis by an expert bridal tailor.
