The Dress

Beautiful dress in Very Good Used Condition. Beading and feathers all in tact. No tears. Double silk lining which feels luxurious when on and breaths incredibly well. Has cups sewn into the dress so can be worn without a bra, which I did. Has been altered on top to fit a B cup but could accommodate a smaller C or larger if cups are taken out. Has been altered for a three point bustle. Hemmed to fit me at 5 foot with 3” heels. Dress measures 55” from shoulder to bottom of front hem. Dress was worn for about 9 hours and not dry cleaned afterwards. It has some yellowing on the silk on the inside of the bodice, which cannot be seen when worn and some staining on the hem as shown. Also a section of the feathers at the front right side have yellowed, not sure exactly why, maybe just from storage. It’s not incredibly apparent but if you look carefully at the photos you can see it. I was told that because of the feathers and bead work this could not be dry cleaned at a traditional cleaners and would need to be taken to a specialist. At the time (2016) I was quoted $450 to clean it. I loved wearing this dress as it was a beautiful piece of art but was also super comfortable on. Selling with the original belt, but would also be willing to sell with the Crystal belt that I wore as shown in the second photo but for an additional cost.

Alterations

Hemmed to 55” from shoulder to front bottom. Taken in at bust to fit a B cup and slightly taken in at shoulder to waist. Shoulder to waist measures 14”
