The Dress

From the designer: “Strapless lace and tulle fit and flare gown with an exquisite hand-placed lace bodice, pleated tulle adds detail to an uncomplicated skirt and is accentuated with trailing lace applique's that wistfully fade out before the hem, satin belt with flower detail, corset back and chapel length train. Removable straps included.” I brought this dress second hand as had fallen in love with another dress by the same designer but wanted to keep to a tight budget. I have since given in and brought my dream dress which fits my body shape better. The hem was taken up by 1-2” by the original owner to fit her at 5’6” with kitten heels. The measurements listed are my own and the corset sides touched when I tried it on so there is leeway in the measurements and corset back. There is some wear and discolouration around the hem where it was worn over grass, which would be easily solved if the length was altered or alternatively you could add some lace appliqué to the hemline. First four photos are from the original sellers listing when I purchased this back in April 2021. The last photo shows the only time I tried it on.

Alterations

This had had 1-2” taken off the bottom hem by the original owner. She was 5’6” and had it altered for kitten heels.
