The Dress

I can't describe how much I loved this dress! It was everything I hoped for - buttons down the back, lace without being itchy or heavy, a train that bustles, room to move and dance, and pee without assistance :) I thought hard about keeping it but my husband was actually the one who said "Remember how happy you were when you found this dress? Maybe there's someone else who would feel that way..." Sounds cheesy but 100% what he said and it convinced me to pass it on.

So here are some details and full disclosure: This is a 2 piece gown, charmeuse slip + ivory lace applique overlay with embroidery & crystal beading, hints of silver. I bought this dress already once used, from this same website, so it has been worn twice and is still in great condition! The one thing that is barely noticeable is some of the fabric darkened around the inside of the hem. I am more than happy to send additional photos of any and all details so you can get the full scope of how this looks! I remember being so nervous to buy a used dress online and had many questions and went through many pictures before committing - please don't hesitate to ask.

To help with sizing, here is more about my measurements at my wedding:
Height: 5'4" (I wore flat shoes with this dress)
Weight: 120 lbs.
Bra Size: 34B

And typical sizes I wear in most clothing:
Tops: XS-S
Jean Size: 2-4 (usually Short or Petite)
Dress Size: XS/S or Size 2-4

Lastly, I have not had the dress dry-cleaned because I wanted to give folks a chance to clean it themselves, maybe you know a place where you can get a good deal. The place near me quoted $150 to clean - if your preference is to have me take care of that, I'm can do that no problem and adjust the cost.

Alterations

My alterations were done by a specialty shop and included:
- Addition of bra cups
- Some slight taking in of the straps

Alterations done by the previous owner at her bridal shop:
- Made the lace straps slightly thinner
- Slip was altered to be the same size of the lace applique overlay
- Both the slip and lace overlay were taken in at the bust/trunk
- Hemmed at the bottom of the dress
- Added a bustle
