The Dress

This beautiful custom made gown (see alteration notes) was worn in Oct 2018. It has been professionally dry cleaned and preserved. The gown skirt is comprised of a white liner overlaid with tulle, chiffon, and lace layers. The top layer features floral lace applique and textured floral appliques (3D flowers). The bodice features a gem encrusted built-in belt, which does wonders for slimming the waistline. The top of the dress was completely restructured by a local dress designer from a strapless gown to a deep V-neckline and V-backline with matching floral applique as the skirt. The dress is very comfortable and not heavy. The veil features the same matching floral appliques as the gown. A truly unique gown that is equal parts distinctive and stunning.

Alterations

This was initially a strapless gown with a high back. The dress was altered by adding sheer shoulder-wide straps which were appliqued with floral lace patches and 3D sheer flower appliques that are present in the gown skirt. The back was cut out to create a deep v-back with the same sheer fabric with lace/floral overlay application. The matching veil was appliqued with the floral lace and textured floral appliques. A local dress designer recreated this dress by taking the original structure of the gown and making it a custom dress. There was also some minor hemming and the bodice sides were taken in.
