The Dress

This lovely wedding dress, Mariella by Maggie Sottero (2016), is unaltered and fits true to size. I did not adjust the length. The dress is a gorgeous ivory cream color with pale pink and gold flower appliques. Crystal buttons add some extra sparkle to the back and the sheer trim at the sweetheart neckline adds a touch of glamour. I added a simple bustle of 3 buttons. The dress offers the option of strapless or sleeves. I bought the sleeves and decided not to wear them. The sleeves attach with a snap button on one side and a stretch button on the other so the fabric has give and won't tear. The dress is very comfortable. I refused to wear anything too heavy or too hot. I wore the dress for 4 hours total. I have not dry cleaned the dress because I'm more afraid of what could happen at the dry cleaners than the condition of the dress, which does not have any stains that I have found. I wore undergarments to protect from sweat and tried to keep the dress relatively pristine so that another bride could enjoy it. I'm a minimalist and having a beautiful dress sit in my closet is sad. I would love for another bride to enjoy it as much as I did. For anyone looking for that touch of pink it's a perfect dress.
