The Dress
This was the last Beauty dress in the shop and 2 sizes too big but as soon as I put it on, I knew it was the right dress. Having only tried heavy lace dresses, its simple elegant beauty and light-as-feather silk organza was refreshingly perfect. The lace around the waist is the perfect finishing detail. I asked the tailor to keep the netting underskirt separate and I decided against it in the end as the 3 layers of organza was enough for a full gown. It also comes with an inner corset to allow for unexpected weight change at the last minute. I wanted something I could dance a ceilidh in but still have what would be the most beautiful dress I will ever wear.
The dress has been cleaned but there remains a stain on the hem of the train. As it is a long train the stain can be removed by shortening with no loss of shape or elegance.
