The Dress

I fell in love with this Berta gown on first sight.

I tried on some of the most exquisite wedding gowns including Vera Wang, Inbal Dror, Zuhair Murad and many more..

But nothing compared to this Beautiful Berta.

I wanted something that was unique. Something that was modern but elegant, sexy but sophisticated.

This Berta gown was all of this and more. The detailing and intricate beading on this gown is sensational. A layer of delicate lace sits under an embellished layer of hand-laid crystals and pearls, which glisten in the sunlight. Beautiful pearl straps are in place to support the dress and flaunt a V-neck line. Perhaps the biggest attraction is its backless design, featuring an elegant silk bow as the centre-piece, from which a tulle overskirt flows.

Although I knew I would always opt for a slim-fitting gown, a part of me always thought that I would be missing out on my only chance to wear that big white dress! This is why this Berta is so perfect, it lets you have the best of both worlds! The tulle overskirt gave me that dramatic entrance I was looking for, and certainly made me feel like a princess! After the ceremony, I detached the overskirt and danced the night away..!

Every Berta gown is made from nothing but the finest materials, and is only handled by the most talented craftsman. This dress showcases Berta artistry at its most refined.

But comfort is certainly not compromised with this Berta gown. The silhouette is figure hugging and is designed to mould to your own personal body shape. Throughout the celebrations I felt comfortable, confident and beautiful.

Alterations

I had this dress altered at the The London Fitting Room, which was recommended by The Wedding Club in Knightsbridge. They do a fast-track service (at no extra cost) and had it ready for me in only 2 days! I had lost significant amounts of weight in the 4 weeks prior to the wedding, and had it slimmed down to fit me: size UK 8, bust 34, waist 30, hips 36. The material itself is actually quite stretchy, it fits like a glove and is designed to mould to your own personal body shape.

The dress comes with nude bra cups which are sewn into the chest area, which provide support and modesty. I had this removed as I am quite small-chested and also wanted a light, natural look suitable for a beach wedding. However, I have kept the bra cups and they can easily be re-attached to the dress.
