The Dress

This Nia 2.0 Grace Loves Lace creation was my dream wedding dress! I was after a dress that was form fitting, elegant, made in Australia and would allow me to walk, dance, eat and laugh on my wedding day. We were married on a family farm and this dress stood up to the test, I walked through fields for photos, I ate so much delicious food and it was forgiving around my middle, and I could happily dance without tripping on my dress all night long. I am a tall, athletic woman at 183cm (6') and wore 8cm block tan heels from Frankie4 to make the dress ankle length, rather than floor length, due to the outdoor venue.

The dry cleaning worked a treat on the hem after the wedding, and the dress looks as good as new. I dry cleaned it the Monday after the Saturday wedding. The dry cleaners commented on how well I had treated the dress before handing it to them, saying that they hadn't seen a wedding dress that clean prior to them touching it. The dress has been housed in all original protective packaging from Grace Loves Lace.

No alterations were made, as this dress hugs your body while being flattering around curves and bumps. I did lose 9cm from my original hip measurements when I bought the dress (1 year out from the wedding) that was intentional, but it still fitted nicely when I first tried the dress on.

I purchased the Grace Loves Lace Joplin Jacket in size L for the reception, and accessorised with the Grace Loves Lace Wire Hoop earrings in Silver Pearl and a handmade headpiece from Kezani Jewellery in West Leederville to complete my look. I am more than willing to message through photos and separate prices of those pieces if you are interested, and have retained all original packaging for the next lovely bride who wants to rock a modern, functional, and elegant look for their special day!
