About the Dress

Hi brides!! I am selling the most stunning dress ever... Sottero and Midgley's Allen Dress! This is a totally unique gown that will wow your guests. The bottom is a traditional tulle ballgown skirt. Lots of layers. The top is all bling and sparkle. It has a high front and a unique squared-off lower back. It shows of the waist and keeps the bust modest. A 3/4 sleeve makes it fashionable but not matronly. Everyone at my wedding went crazy for this dress!

I'm selling because I just don't want to lug around this dress for the rest of my life. Fashions change, and every woman wants her own special dress, not her mom or grandma's dress. I would so love for another bride to enjoy this dress now rather than have it sit in my attic for years. I wore it just for my wedding and it's in great condition.

About the fit: I'm a pretty standard size 12 at 5 foot 1.5 inches. I have wide hips/butt and a large bust, but a small waist. This was a size 16 and fit like a glove. All it needed was a bit of the top taken in at the shoulders due to being short and there being some extra fabric. I'm under 5 foot 2, but did wear high heels with the dress

I didn't put the measurements because this dress isn't very tight so could accommodate different body types. My DD bust was supported just fine, and at the hips it's infinite tulle.

I paid $2,500 for this dress baseline
I paid $60 to get it made 6 inches shorter, hoping that this would mean no hem needed.
I paid $410 in alterations (still needed that hem): hem, bustle (which looked great!), and the shoulders

So, I paid just under 3K when all was said and done. I'm listing for 2K but am willing to negotiate.
