The Dress

I'm finally willing to part with this moscato-coloured dreamy dress, 6 months after my wedding. It was professionally dry-cleaned and kept in a plastic cover and inside a bridal gown breathable garment cover ever since. A full-length veil (shown in one of the photos) worth $300 is included. The dress comes in two pieces hence it is easy to wear and not heavy. This is a dress I can put on without any help.

The top: It never slides down ever, so you don't have to worry about pulling it up throughout the day. It keeps your tummy tucked-in at all times so you don't have to suck in your breath for photos, and so you can relax and eat your full meal (I ate all 3 courses including the side of bread and two slices of wedding cake) during the reception without having to worry about a tummy sticking out after. When you sit down, there will be no tummy rolls. There is a zip at the back which makes it easy to wear.

The skirt: The shape of the skirt is very flattering on all body shapes, creating the illusion of a smaller waist. You can choose to wear it however high or low you want on your mid section. Many friends commented on how beautiful the handkerchief layers on the skirt is, and the lovely soft blush moscato colour the multi layers create. I spent $250 to have 6 carefully hidden train loops and buttons attached so that the train can be lifted up for easy manoeuvring around during reception time. Hence I didn't bother having a second dress for the reception. When the train is brought up, it is still floor length (matching the front), but doesn't drag behind on the floor. This removable skirt allows you to actually go pee easily! I wore tight shorts under, so that I could just remove the skirt at the dressing room and skip off to the loo.

I hope that this dress will get to be loved by another girl and be a part of another beautiful day, instead of spending its days staring into the insides of my closet. This dress is everything I dreamed of and will always be deeply loved.

Alterations

As it comes in two pieces, it is so much easier to alter compared to other wedding dresses. Alteration costs for this dress would be lesser than usual.

There are bra pads inserts sewn into the cups of the corset top, so that you don't have to wear a bra under, and it also helps to maintain a nice shape at all times. They can easily be removed if desired.

The hem was shortened minimally just so I can walk without tripping over. It was shortened where the waist is, by removing the waist band to cut off the fabric then having the waist band fixed back- hence none of the ends of the lovely handkerchief layers were affected at all.
