About the Dress

The bodice of this dress has a slight sweetheart neckline which flatters the bust. It is hand-stitched, with thousands of pearls and crystals and boy does it sparkle. The thread that holds these together is ivory, so it doesn’t distract from the iridescent sparkle I was looking for. The beautiful detail continues in points down to the skirt which is layers of tulle, organza and satin. The dress is very light ivory. The belt is separate; it is your choice if you wear it on your big day. It was taken in slightly to fit at the bust and the waist, all of which can be let out or taken in again. I understand that wedding dresses can be altered by up to two sizes. I am 5ft 6” and I wore 3.5inch heels. The dress comes with the hoop as part of the price advertised. It has been dry cleaned immediately after the wedding day by Berketex. The dress has been treated with the tender care and respect it deserves. The dress is A line and the skirt is full, it does move well and didn’t weigh me down. With the skirt being made of so many layers there are tiny tears, these are only noticeable when you are inspecting the dress. I paid a lot of money for the dress, it retailed at £1799, I paid £1439 with the 20% offer they had on at the time. I ordered the dress in Berketex Glasgow in Jan 2012, we were married in Nov’12. I would love to keep it but can’t let it stay in a box, it is too beautiful. They no longer produce this dress in Berketex. Please let me know if you have any questions. Sensible offers considered.
