The Dress
This was my dream dress and I loved it so much. It's champagne colored and photographs so well. The beading is perfectly intricate and the dress is so delicate. The fit worked even for someone like me with hips, and I just could not have loved this dress more. I listed my street size as an 8, although I was pretty consistently a 6 at this time--to make the hips fit, we went with an 8.
It would bring me so much joy to know this dress got to be part of another epic celebration of love! I hope it finds another wonderful woman to wear it for her wedding!!
Alterations
Fit to my measurements at the time
The narrowest parts are the waist (ribbon and beadwork) and the hips (measured at 3" below the waist).
The waist measures 40cm flat, but closer to about 31" around (78.5cm)
The hip (3" below waist) measures 49.5cm flat (19.5") - it's all beadwork and less forgiving so hard to get a good "around" measurement
The bust if very forgiving - there are lightly sewn in cups - it was measured for me ~37" (36A/34B) but likely could go up to ~44"
