About the Dress

Exquisite 1930s style JOHANNA JOHNSON bias cut wedding gown with beaded ties.

If you're looking for classic sophistication for your wedding day - this is it!
Worn once only for my Amalfi Coast wedding in Italy 2012.

DETAILS:
The dress is a medium weight silk satin of the best quality. It's fully lined & cut on the bias.
However it hugs the lop of your hips but not the base of your bottom for a very flattering line.

Has 2 matching Swarofski beaded ties.
One is to attach to the top of the dress (currently removed for cleaning / altering) and the other is a separate belt included in this sale. Basically I'm selling the belts and giving the dress away.

The ties are very long and it's suggested that you tie them with one loop at the back with the pieces hanging down at different lengths. The belt can also be tied at the front. I wore the belt tied to the front/side for the first dance and the whirling ties were lovely in photos.

Dress has a back zip w/ hook and eye.
Bust has cups for support.

There is a hook for a bustle to hold the train off the floor for walking and dancing.
This gives it a very elegant and unique look (see last picture)

SIZE:
My measurements for the dress:
Bust: 87cm (widest part)
Waist: 70cm
Hips: 88cm
Hips / bottom (widest part): 97cm
Re length - I am 5ft 6in and wore 4inch heels.

Dress is a few cm bigger than an 8 which will allow for personal refitting if required.
This is ideal. I wouldn't recommend trying to let it out.

ADDITIONAL INFO:
Has been professionally cleaned by Centennial Dry Cleaners in Rose Bay.
They stained the train unfortunately which is why the dress is so reduced.
(See dropbox pictures) Stains can be cut away and you could even cut it to cocktail length.
As stated above, I'm selling the belts and giving the dress away.

Dress comes with a black satin Johanna Johnson gown bag and a padded satin hanger.
Belt 1 comes in a special Johanna Johnson box with tissue.
Belt 2 has been separated from the dress to allow for alterations and cleaning. It just needs to be hand stitched on again.
