The Dress

Tertia gown from Caroline Castigliano's "Love is in the Air" collection.

I absolutely love this dress and felt amazing in it all day. The weather in Portugal was a hot 28.C, but despite the fuller skirt the dress was very lightweight and airy. I had so many compliments on the day of the wedding about the dress and have received even more since.

The dress has been professionally dry cleaned and is in perfect condition. I am 5'5 (without shoes) but wore heels of approx. 80mm. The dress is a Bridal Size 14 standard length, but I usually wear a shop Size 10 - 12. The measurements are:
37.5 inch bust;
29 inch waist and;
31 inch hip

The Tertia gown is a contemporary design. A delicate camisole top is crafted in ivory guipure lace layered over Chantillty lace with barely-there taupe rouleau loops straps. A boned bodice with eyelet panels is cleverly hidden under the structure giving an effortless finish. The deep V neckline is finished with a raw lace edge. Lace applique overlays the silk organza skirt, cut to a full circle to fall in gentle swathes over frilled net petticoats, and flaring into a train. Silk-covered buttons and rouleau loops line the centre back, concealing an eyelet fastening. For a modern touch, Caroline Castigliano has added pockets concealed in the side seams.

Alterations

I had the dress taken in slightly around the waist. It is now a UK 10 - 12.
