The Dress

*Size Small - with adjustments made.
I absolutely fell in love with the way this looked from the back immediately. The hardest decision I had to make was which way to tie it up!

I chose to have one dress the whole way through (spent all my pennies on this and couldn’t justify a second dress for reception) but having the option to tie this dress differently was the perfect solution.

Wore it one way for the ceremony, a different way for our reception, and could loop the train securely into the back of the bow which gave me so much confidence it wouldn’t come undone while dancing. This was a big thing for me as we planned to do a first dance with a fair bit of movement. Please see the dancing picture to give you an idea of how this looks.
My concern with other bustles (with buttons etc) was that they may easily come free if you or your lovely new husband stepped on the back of the dress!

* Please note: I have changed the neckline of this dress to be more of a cowl neckline compared to the original dress style.
As no material was removed, if you wish to change it back to the original style, I have been assured by the dressmaker that this would be easy to achieve.
I have also changed the way the dress drapes from the waist down to better flatter my figure, meaning it’s slightly more ALine than the mermaid-like original & has meant it was not sitting super low at the back as the original.

Dress has been professionally dry cleaned and boxed (receipts can be provided).

Alterations

Loved the back of the Valentina (GLL) but wanted the front of the Aster (GLL) so went to the GLL suggested alterations expert to make this happen.

She did a fantastic job, allowing me to feel really comfortable in it on the big day, without compromising any of the elements of the dress that made me love it in the first place! Didn’t need to wear a bra & didn’t need to touch/adjust a thing once it was on which was a such a relief
