The Dress

Danielle Frankel's 'Leona' gown is made from figure-skimming cady that's overlaid with frothy tulle, giving it beautiful texture and dimension. It has a cold-shoulder neckline with gathered details and slim grosgrain straps to keep it in place. The train trains elegantly behind as you walk.

I wore the gown for my ceremony and reception before changing in the evening!

Condition: Excellent! The dress came up amazingly after cleaning and now only shows some lights marks around the hem and some wear to the tulle at the bottom.

Alterations

My typical high street size is a UK8 on top and a UK10/12 on the bottom.

The dress has been altered to reflect this -
My measurements for reference…
Waist: 66cm
Bust 84cm (32C)
Hips: 102cm

The hips were left alone as they fit perfectly.

Please note, the seam allowance has been left inside the dress and therefore it could be let out by an inch or so on the bodice.

The length was shortened to the floor - I am 5’5” and wore a 7cm heel.

The length from hollow > hem on the mannequin is 148cm.

Other alterations:

- Handloop
- Sleeves were shortened to sit just above my ring.
- Straps shortened
