About the Dress

I got married on 31/8/24 in this beautiful Stella York dress that I bought new from a bridal shop.
This A-line dress that made me feel tall and slim on my wedding day and it hid my most insecure part of my body well, which was my tummy area.
The halter neckline is 'removable' - i.e. easily done at a seamstress, which means the dress can be worn strapless as a bandeau style. However I wore it with the neck detail, which contains an intricate lace design as seen in pictures - the rest of the dress has a soft material.
There's a very small minimal underlayer in the dress so isn't 'puffy' or heavy - it helped me keep cool on my wedding day!
It has a natural thigh slit and pockets.
The train is beautiful and timeless - not too long.
It's a beautiful ivory colour - and appears like a 'clean white' colour.
Fabric is lace and crepe chiffron.

Alterations

Dress is size 14 however I am a high street 10-12 therefore needed altering by a seamstress.
The bust area was therefore tightened slightly. The hip area has not been touched. With my wedding heels on, I was around 5'7 in height so the length was adjusted so that the front of the dress didn't drag but was still floor length.
There are two ways you can lift the train up from the floor - one is a button you can hook onto the back of the dress and another is an arm strap. Both methods are discreet and not visible when the train is on the floor.
