The Dress

I am not one to dress up. I thought I was going to be in a loose, flowy dress but when I went to the shop and tried this on because “why not?” my mind completely changed. I couldn’t stop thinking about this dress. I felt taller, hugged in the right places, and I just felt special. It has a sweet lace detail throughout that is playful and just different enough without screaming “lace, lace”!

Alterations

Bought a size 10 AU but had to be taken in so probably closer to an 8 AU. As a member of the itty-bitty-titty-committee, I also had to have the straps taken up to close gaps. We opted to take the extra fabric from the back of the straps so the neck line and back would still be lower, vs taking from the shoulder hem which would have raised both. If you look closely, you can see the alterations but it doesn’t stand out unless you know where to look.
