This Pronovias Atelier dress was not easy to find! I went around 5-6 wedding dress shops in NYC/Westchester/Connecticut area. I had a clear vision of the dress shape which was a princess ball gown, but the majority of ball gowns below 5 figures all had a similar look with lace and appliqué style. Those are pretty in their own way, but I wanted something that was more glamorous and special. Then I found this dress from Kleinfeld Bridal, and I fell in love with this dress instantly.

This one is truly unique, elegant, and glamorous with sparkling beads all over it. The dress is absolutely beautiful and expensive looking compared to the usual $5k dresses. Something that celebrities would wear in a magazine. So many of my guests and friends mentioned that the dress looks so gorgeous and luxurious.

Due to lots of materials and layers that went in to build the skirt part of the dress, it makes you float down the aisle and float around the reception like a real princess. The train is very long which is also the look that I wanted at the ceremony.

Overall, the dress was pretty comfortable considering it is a huge ball gown. I was still able to drink and eat comfortably and dance. It was the absolutely perfect dress and I'm so happy I found it. I wore this dress with a beautiful luxurious cathedral veil that extended the train even further which was just a gorgeous image at the ceremony. Because the train of the dress is very long, it wasn't easy to find a veil that comes down longer than the dress. The veil has a matching bead+sequins+pearl design with appliqué all the way down.

Condition: There are 4-5 lines of beads (out of hundreds) on the lowest part of the gown (close to the floor) that have become loose in small places where the stitching caught. The beads are still there and will hold up. It's just micro tears in the stitching. The tears are so small that you wouldn't even be able to notice them if no one points them out up close. If you want, they could be repaired easily, but I wouldn't even bother with it.

Alterations

The dress was altered to a size 0 / 32B by the lead master seamstress at Kleinfeld Bridal in NYC, together with a beading expert to maintain all the intricate detail of the thousands of beads on the dress. If you plan on altering it I suggest you find the right seamstress who can handle the detail involved. My seamstress from Kleinfeld was so skilled and meticulous. She put buttons on the back of the dress for bustling for the reception and made it easy to dance in, which gave the dress another equally stunning look.
