The Dress

I am selling my beloved Madi Lane ivory / latte colored wedding dress!

The size is XS / 34 and my measurements were 82/66/92. My bust was a bit too small, haha, but it was doable. My waist was right at the upper limit.

I planned to wear heels (around 5/6cm) and at the last minute, it rained and I decided to wear sneakers. Therefore, the dress was a bit too long and we had to hem it in the front last minute. This is a hand-sewn hem and so it can easily be taken out if you would like to lengthen the dress by several cm!

I am selling the dress with custom made off-the-shoulder sleeves that button into the dress. They are special 'soft' buttons that dont scratch the skin when the sleeves are on or off. I had them on most of the day and then took them off for dancing ;) On top of this, there is boning in the dress to help it stay upright and I can also give my veil, if desired. My mother made it for me and so you can see in the photos that it is not professional, but it is an extremely long veil and was dyed to be slightly off-white to match the dress. It is attached to a hair comb. I can also throw in my hair accessory, if desired, that I wore over the veil!

The dress was professionally dry cleaned and is spotless.

It does have two small issues, though:

1.) There is a tiny tear in the front tulle that came from my bouquet. The tear wasn't noticed by anyone, though, and you cant even see it in any photos. I believe it should be pretty easy to sew or cover with an applique, if you choose. Or it could easily be left alone and I truly don't think anyone would notice, as there is so much tulle and other fabric and appliques all around.

2.) The zipper had to be swapped out in the last minute. For some reason the original wasn't zipping up well and so I had to grab a new one the week before the wedding. I couldn't find one near here so I ordered one that stated it was a 'heavy duty' zipper. It turned out to be smaller than the original and than what was needed for the dress. Therefore, the seamstress had to take the dress out a bit (so that the zipper isn't as hidden as usual - see image) in one spot in the middle of the back. This is so that the zipper would hold up against the pressure, as it is where the pressure from the waist of the dress and the wearer and the bustle all goes. The seamstress assured me that it is 100% reinforced now and good to go and that I just need to pull the dress taut when I zipper it up (and not to rip it up, of course). I didn't have any issues on my wedding day (and I certainly ate a LOT and really applied extra pressure to my dress, hahaha)
