The Dress

I felt like a princess in this dress. It twirls, it sparkles, and it will bring you to tears. Everyone raved about it, and I'm a bit sad to let it go. However, it isn't going to do much good in my closet. The photos simply don't do the sparkle justice, but video does. The glitter catches all of the light in the room. Here's what the designer has to say about this dress:

Romantic and dreamy with the perfect dose of glitz and glam. This full-length, A-line gown/ballgown features sweet floral embroidered lace on a plunging V-neckline bodice. Glitter tulle cascades down the length of the skirt, creating shimmer and shine for your walk down the aisle. Finished with a low V-back, crystal buttons and an invisible zipper closure.

Alterations

This dress has been altered. We had tulle added underneath to give the skirt a bit more lift. It can easily be removed to take the dress back to a proper A-line though. The dress has also been bustled at the back with 2 hooks that hold the dress at the waist. The straps were taken in a bit, and the dress was hemmed. I am 5'4" and wore keds tennis shoes (about 1" heel.) One of the crystal buttons is missing and one of the bustle eye-hooks has come off. Both could be easily repaired. No other damage and the dress has been professionally cleaned.
