The Dress
This dress has a high square neckline and an illusion center front plunge toward the waistline. Structure and support is added by curved seaming along the bodice and the double-banded waist feature creates a flattering empire waist effect. The full skirt flows out from the bottom of the waist for a smoother A-line shape, creating more of an hourglass silhouette. This dress also has a square back detail that is tapered into a slight V-shape and squared off by the wide waistband. Classic fabric-covered buttons then cascade to the base of the full train and hide the zip. This dress also has pockets.
Alterations
Some layers of tulle were removed from the lining to create more of an a-line shape. The bodice was taken out to accommodate a 96cm bust, and the underarm seams were adjusted accordingly. The hemline was shortened to fit a bride 172cm tall (with heels) and a bustle was added.
