About the Dress

This beautiful Lisa Gowing silk dress is so sexy and elegant! It would suit someone 155cm-165cm as the original bride was 157cm and wore 10cm high heels. It would be perfect for a black tie or a beach wedding. The dress has a low back with beautiful silk covered buttons, and a short train that can be bustled to one of the buttons for dancing. It has a deep v-line neck with spaghetti straps and the bodice is so firm you won't need a bra if you are a B through to a D cup.

I absolutely loved it and felt like a screen siren in it, but a few weeks before my wedding I had to accept that it had been designed for someone 10-20cm shorter than me, and no amount of wishing was going to make it suit me!

So it has still only been worn once - it was dry cleaned by the previous bride, and I dry cleaned it again after some very minor alterations to the straps and the darts at the back of the skirt. These alterations would be easy and inexpensive for a new bride to make to suit their figure.
